چکیده

Abstract We developed a self-consistent conserving pseudo particle approximation for the Anderson impurity model with finite Coulomb interaction, derivable from a Luttinger Ward functional. It contains an infinite series of skeleton diagrams built out of fully renormalized Green’s functions. The choice of diagrams is motivated by the Schrieffer Wolff transformation which shows that singly and doubly occupied states should appear in all bare diagrams symmetrically. Our numerical results for TK are in excellent agreement with the exact values known from the Bethe ansatz solution. The low energy physics of non-Fermi liquid Anderson impurity systems is correctly described while the present approximation fails to describe Fermi liquid systems, since some important coherent spin flip and charge transfer processes are not yet included. It is believed that CTMA (Conserving T-matrix approximation) diagrams will recover also Fermi liquid behavior for Anderson models with finite Coulomb interaction as they do for infinite Coulomb interaction.

Anderson impurity model at finite Coulomb interaction U: Generalized noncrossing approximation

We present an extension of the noncrossing approximation ~NCA!, which is widely used to calculate properties of Anderson impurity models in the limit of infinite Coulomb repulsion U→` , to the case of finite U. A self-consistent conserving pseudoparticle representation is derived by symmetrizing the usual NCA diagrams with respect to empty and doubly occupied local states. This requires an infi...

un 2 00 1 Fermi liquid theory for the Anderson model out of equilibrium

The low-energy properties of the Anderson impurity are studied under a finite bias voltage V using the perturbation theory in U of Yamada and Yosida in the nonequilibrium Keldysh diagrammatic formalism. The self-energy is calculated exactly up to terms of order ω, T 2 and V 2 using Ward identities. The coefficients are defined with respect to the equilibrium ground state, and contain all contri...

Density-operator approaches to transport through interacting quantum dots: Simplifications in fourth-order perturbation theory

Various theoretical methods address transport effects in quantum dots beyond single-electron tunneling while accounting for the strong interactions in such systems. In this paper we report a detailed comparison between three prominent approaches to quantum transport: the fourth-order Bloch-Redfield quantum master equation BR , the real-time diagrammatic technique RT , and the scattering rate ap...

Spectral Density of the Two-Impurity Anderson Model

We investigate static and dynamical ground-state properties of the twoimpurity Anderson model at half filling in the limit of vanishing impurity separation using the dynamical density-matrix renormalization group method. In the weakcoupling regime, we find a quantum phase transition as function of inter-impurity hopping driven by the charge degrees of freedom. For large values of the local Coul...

Rapid Note Mott transition of the f-electron system in the periodic Anderson model with nearest neighbor hybridization

We show analytically that, under certain assumptions, the periodic Anderson model and the Hubbard model become equivalent within the dynamical mean field theory for quasiparticle weight Z → 0. A scaling relation is derived which is validated numerically using the numerical renormalization group at zero temperature and quantum Monte Carlo simulations at finite temperatures. Our results show that...
